FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

My water meter is leaking, what do I need to do?

Call a professional plumber right away to determine the location of the leak. If the source of the leak is after the meter and not between the meter and your house, it is usually the responsibility of your water utility provider.

Why is my faucet leaking?

Leaky faucets are usually the cause of worn out rubber washers, damaged cartridges, or corroded internal valve seats. In many cases a simple replacement of these parts can fix the issue, however, sometimes the entire faucet needs to be replaced.

How do I fix a jammed garbage disposal?

If your garbage disposal stops working during regular operation, it is most likely jammed or needs to be reset. The first thing that you need to do when this occurs is to locate the red reset button and check to see if it has popped out. Press on the button gently and see if the disposal will resume regular operation. If it does not, the second thing you can do is insert the manufacturer supplied wrench, that came with your garbage disposal, into the hole of the disposal motor at the bottom and rotate the wrench back and forth to dislodge whatever is jamming the disposal.

What can I do to prevent drains from being clogged?

Always keep in mind what is being flushed or dumped down your drains. Things like hair, oils, grease, coffee grinds, pasta or rice should not be going in the sink. A drain stopper or filter can help prevent some of these things from going down the drain, but remember that oils and grease can go through a stopper and should never be poured down a drain.

What is a drain line inspection?

A drain line inspection is performed with a waterproof camera that is inserted into your drain lines. It determines the cause of drain blockages, the condition of your drain pipes and can also determine if there are any cracks, sags or roots present.
